NEW PRICES EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Dear Valued Customer,
As you are aware, the cost of oil continues to rise and has recently seen dramatic increases leading to all time highs in the price of a barrel of oil, unfortunately these rises are being paralleled by just as significant an increase in the costs of metals such as steel and Aluminium. This has affected every corner of the economy as well as our personal lives. As a significant manufacturer of oil based plastic products, ITW-Envopak keeps a watchful eye on the plastic resin and steel markets to insure that we are purchasing our supplies at the best market price available.
During the past 6 months, resin prices have increased regularly and significantly. Because ITW-Envopak maintains close relationships with our material suppliers, we have been able to maintain pricing on our oil based products and shield our customers from industry wide increases. However, because pricing has again recently risen rapidly and consistently over a short period of time, we are no longer able to maintain prices without passing on a proportion of the additional costs.
As a result, ITW-Envopak will be applying an increase to those products affected by these unusual increases examples of the typical increases in raw materials are given below:
- ABS increased by 20% since Jan 2008
- Styrene increased by 10% since Jan 2008
- Polypropylene increased by 10% since Jan 2008
- Nylon increased 5% since Jan 2008
- Steel increased by 25% since Jan 2008
- Tin plate increased by 15% since Jan 2008
Prices will increase dependant upon the product and base material, please see below table for specific increases in the products you are purchasing.
Owing to these very unusual circumstances Increases are applicable, regardless of quantity ordered, for all orders and ongoing contracts confirmed for production/delivery on or after August 1, 2008, unless quoted and acknowledged in the last 8 weeks.
